Peanut Butter Banana and Oatmeal

It is not always possible to make the perfect breakfast that would provide the nutrition you need, modern life throws us into hectic lifestyles and time always seems to be in short supply. This smoothie will deliver on all counts as it provides all the necessary ingredients to give your body that early morning boost that it so desperately needs. If your schedule is really rushed, you can even prepare it the night before and leave in the refrigerator, just stir well before gulping it down.

  • Ingredients – 2 bananas, 1 cup vanilla yogurt, 1 cup skimmed milk, quarter cup natural peanut butter, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1 cup oats, three scoops of ice.

Place yogurt, milk and bananas in a blender and make smooth mass, then add all the other ingredients and blend it again.

A really simple smoothie to make with few ingredients but has a wonderful taste and is packed with goodness. Blueberries are one of nature’s most effective wonder fruits. They are incredibly good for the body: fighting off bladder infections, rich in antioxidants, fighting dementia and even are beneficial against certain cancers.  Blueberries are best eaten raw to maintain all their natural goodness, so a smoothie is the perfect way to eat them. As with all fruit used in smoothies, it doesn’t really matter if you use fresh or frozen fruits. But, obviously, if it is frozen, reduce the ice you use.

  • Ingredients – two cups of blueberries, half cup low-fat milk, two cups fat free yogurt, three teaspoons peanut butter, ice.

Mix all ingredients apart from the yogurt and ice, blend first for thirty seconds and then finish by blending in the ice and yogurt.

Peanut Butter and Strawberry

Everybody know that peanut butter and bananas are a marriage made in heaven, but there are certain foods nobody seems to associate with peanut butter. This smoothie combines strawberries and pineapple with the luscious peanut butter to create a wonderful delicious drink.

  • Ingredients – one and a half cups of strawberries, one cup of milk, one cup plain Greek yogurt, half a cup of pineapple juice, third of cup of smooth peanut butter, one teaspoon honey.

Combine all ingredients apart from the honey and place in blender until smooth.
